Obituary for Elmerine "Rene" Brooks
Elmerine “Rene” Brooks was born on July 15, 1939 in Jesup, Georgia to the late Iatter Davis and Veteran Henry Benjamin Davis. She accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior in 1981. Elmerine brought many souls to Christ and was a faithful member of Northside Church of Christ until her health failed.
Elmerine departed this life on Wednesday, July 26, 2017. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Eugene Brooks; sisters, Willie Mae Weatherspoon and Ruby White; brother, Henry Davis Jr.; sons, Anthony Davis and Michael Brooks.
Elmerine leaves to cherish her memory a son, Gregory Brooks (Felicia); daughters, Wanda Valentine (Reginald) and Kimberly Brooks; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many sorrowing friends.
