Ernest Jones, Jr. was born on May 30, 1936 to Ernest Jones, Sr. and Bernice Caldwell in Jacksonville, Florida. He attended the local schools in Duval County graduating from Stanton Senior High School. At the age of seventeen, he began working for Royal Services, Inc. and after he completed school, Ernest turned that opportunity into 49 years of dedicated service.

Ernest retired and enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, and rooting for his favorite teams (Pittsburgh Steelers and Florida State Seminoles).

Ernest departed this life on Monday, November 21, 2016. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Ernest was a loving father and leaves memories to his children, Brenda Griffin and Lesa Jones; granddaughter, Brittany Griffin; grandson, Audwin Engram; sister, Gloria Lucas; niece, Wynema Williams (Kelvin); nephew, Shannon Lucas (Erica); longtime friend, Sheradine Williams; and a host of loving and supportive family members.

The funeral service for ERNEST JONES Jr. will be held 10:00 am SATURDAY at the Samuel C. Rogers Jr. Memorial Chapel 4315 N. Main St. The visitation will be 5- 7:00 pm , Friday at the mortuary.
