Obituary for Ernest Lamont Smith Sr.
Ernest (Fee) Lamont Smith, Sr. was born on April 23, 1966, in New York City, New York to Queen Smith Pratt and the Late Haby Collins. His earthly life ended on Wednesday, March 1, 2023, for an eternal life with God.
Ernest graduated from Andrew Jackson High School in 1984. He served in the US Army for 14 Years as an Automated Logistics Specialist. Ernest worked at the US Pentagon as an IT Specialist until his untimely illness and death.
Ernest was known as a quiet but electronic soul because of his love for anything electronic, especially computers. He could fix electronics really quickly, leaving you pondering "How'd he do that?"
Ernest had many accomplishments here on earth and many accolades, but his greatest accomplishment and accolade of all was his acceptance and relationship with Christ! He accepted Christ at an early age and served him until he was called home on March 1, 2023. Amen!!!
Ernest is survived by his spouse, Stephanie Smith; children: LaMonica James (James), Ernest Smith, Jr., Mia Smith, and Denzell Smith (Sydney); 5 grandchildren; mother, Queen Smith Pratt; adoptive mother, Lil O'Neal; mother-in-law, Nancy Chaney; sister, Sharon Wimberly (Timothy); a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, devoted and dedicated friends. Honorable mentions include: John Shellman and the entire Shellman family, The Stokes and Easton Families, Kim Burgett, Joyce Mijian, Doris Bowman, and Mark Smith.
