Obituary for Ernestine Juanita Green
Ms. Ernestine Juanita Askins Green was born in Florence, South Carolina to Ms. Ella Jackson on February 7, 1933. She attended Wilson High School in South Carolina and graduated from North Carolina A & T with a Master’s Degree in Education.
Ms. Green moved to New York and was employed as a Dietician at Kings County Hospital for 8 years. After that she taught as a Home Economics Teacher for over twenty plus years. Ms. Green has been a longtime member of the Eastern Stars Organization. She was married to Joe Green, Jr. at a very young age, to this union one son, Michael Sr. was born.
Ms. Green departed this life Tuesday, October 8, 2019. She was preceded in death by her mother, Ella Jackson.
Ms. Green leaves to cherish her memories: a son, Michael Green, Sr.; grandson, Michael Green, Jr.; daughter-in-law, Margaret Green; granddaughter, Quiana DeJesus; five great-grandchildren, Kamece, Lauryn, Kamahri, Justin, Naarya and other relatives and many sorrowing friends.
