Obituary for Ester Lee Harrell

Ester Lee Harrell was born on January 25, 1930 in Lee County, Alabama to the late Rufus and Mae Bell Knight. She was educated in the Chamber County Alabama School System. Ester lived in New York for many years. She was a faithful member of Community Memorial Baptist Church in Yonkers, NY. Ester served on the Missionary Board, Usher Board and Chancel Choir.

Ester worked as a home health aide for many years until she retired. As her health began to decline. She moved to Jacksonville, Florida.

God called Ester home on Wednesday, March 27, 2019. She was preceded in death by her parents; 4 siblings and 2 grandchildren.

Ester leaves to cherish her life memories: two sons, Willie Miller (Linda) of Yonkers, NY and Howard Harrell (Cherrie) of Bronx, NY; one daughter, Althea Harrell of Jacksonville, FL; two grandchildren that she raised as her own, Sasha Edward of Charleston, WV and Diamond Harrell of Atlanta, GA; one aunt, Era Ann Wilson of Southfield, MI; her legacy will forever live on in her eleven grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; two great great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

The funeral service for Ester Lee Harrell will be held 11:00 am Saturday, April 6th, 2019 at the Triumph The Church and Kingdom of God In Christ 7843 Siskin Ave Jacksonville, Florida 32219. The visitation will be 5 - 7pm, Friday, April 5th, 2019 at the Funerals By T. S. Warden 4315 North Main Street Jacksonville, FL 32206. Interment in Restlawn Cemeteries South.
