Obituary for Evelyn Minnie Bordes (Ingram)

Evelyn Minnie Bordes was born in Okeechobee, FL on April 13, 1942 to John and Minnie Ingram. She attended local high schools and later became the owner of Evelyn’s Academy where she cared for many children and families.  
Ms. Evelyn loved spending time in the kitchen, creating delicious meals for her family.  Most weekends were spent grocery shopping and attending church, before she was physically unable to do so.  

Ms. Evelyn was a caring mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend.  She departed this world suddenly on March 5, 2021 at the age of 78, and was preceded in death by her parents, John and Minnie Ingram; son, Ronnie Ingram; sisters, Catherine, Shirley, and Martha Ingram; brothers, Johnny, Andrew and Sonny Ingram; great-grandchild, Richard White; and great-great grandchild, Josiah Kleer.

Ms. Evelyn leaves to mourn her passing: children, Kathy (Donald), Joseph, Kimberly (Jason), and Cassandra; grandchildren, Shana (Kris), Shannon, Janay (Richard), Whitney, Johnathan, Tia (Carlos), Aaliyah, Deja, Cameron, and Veronica; 10 great-grandchildren, Savanna, Nicholas, Dontae, Carlia, Ja’Nya, Javier, Adrian, Ace, Richelle, and Carlos; siblings, Hannah, Mildred, Helen, and George (Clara); dear friends, Jenetha Denmark and Pastor Gerald Dinkins; and other sorrowing relatives and friends. 

The funeral service for Evelyn Minnie Bordes (Ingram) will be held 12:00 p.m. Friday, March 12th, 2021 at the Samuel C. Rogers Jr. Memorial Chapel, 4315 North Main Street, Jacksonville, Florida 32209. The visitation will be 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m., Friday, March 12th, 2021 at the Funerals by T.S. Warden, 4315 North Main Street, Jacksonville, FL 32206. Interment in Edgewood Cemetery. Please sign the family guest book and view the video tribute @ www.tswarden.com.
