Obituary for Fannie Ruth Richardson

Mother Fannie Ruth McLaughlin was born on May 18, 1931. Her parents the late Eddie McLaughlin and Ruth Bartley Timberlake. She lived her formative years in Jacksonville, Florida and attended the local schools graduating from Stanton High School, Class of 1948. From childhood through her adult life Mother Richardson attended and was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church. Mother Richardson later met and was joined in Holy Matrimony on October 12, 1951 to William D. Richardson. As a faithful employee of NAS Jacksonville, she retired after 35 years of service.

Mother Richardson transitioned to a new life on Thursday, May 7, 2015. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ruth Bartley Timberlake and Eddie McLaughlin; her husband, William Richardson; sister, Irene DeBerry and auntee, Dr. Lua S. Bartley.

Mother Richardson leaves to cherish her memories, four daughters, Brenda Carrea, Vivian Luanice “Ms. Neicy” (Rodney), Mary Davene Bronson and Rosalyn Alvenia; grandchildren, Diallo, Kenneshia, Carrea, William, Tameca, Kenance (Tiger), Jasper (Dooney), Davante’, Anya, Tonya, Sonya; great-grandchildren, Deandre, Coreyon, Jakori, Ta’Cora, Tre’dyn, Kehlea, Trumaine II, Jaeda; sisters Edna Dixon, Ann Bryant, Yolanda Austin; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends and her faithful companion, “Snowball”.


Fannie R. Richardson of W. 14th St. passed away on May 7, 2015. She leaves to cherish her memories, daughters, Brenda, Ms. Neicy, Mary and Rosalyn; grands, Diallo, Kenneshia, Carrea, William, Tameca, Tiger, Jasper, Davante, Anya, Tonya and Sonya; 8 great grands, 3 sisters, nieces, nephews and loving relatives. The wake will be held 5-8 PM, FRIDAY at Ebenezer UMC, 9114 Norfolk Blvd. The service will be held 11 AM, SATURDAY at the Paxon Revival Center, 5461 Commonwealth Ave..
