Obituary for Felicia Vashonn Roberts

A wife, loving mother, and a phenomenal friend are just a few words to describe Felicia VaShonn Jackson-Roberts. Felicia affectionately called “MeMe” was born in Jacksonville, Florida on June 12, 1974 to the proud parents of Anthony Stallings and Lueann Jackson Robinson. She was educated in the local schools of Duval County, graduating from William M. Raines High School Class of 1992.

In 1997, Felicia married her high school sweetheart, Quinell Roberts. Felicia was employed with Bellsouth Solutions and Blue Cross and Blue Shield, making many friends during her years of dedicated service. During her time as an Entrepreneur, Felicia was Owner and Operator of Soutel All Occasions Center. Her sole purpose for starting this venture was to provide a safe place for family and friends to fellowship. Felicia always wanted to surround herself with family and friends. Her wonderful sense of humor always left you smiling. MeMe was often the life of the party.

Felicia was preceded in death by her grandparents, Georgia M. Stallings, Nokomis Jackson, and Curtis Jackson; aunts, Linda Jackson, Rose Reddick, and Rosalie Holt; cousin, Raymond “Bo” Reddick.

Felicia leaves to cherish her loving memories her husband, Quinell Roberts; daughters, Jerika Ward, Victoria “Lucy” Roberts, and Diara “Dundy” Roberts; son, Ty’Rion Thomas; grandchildren, Sanai Brown, Si’Yanni Brown, Diangelo Thompson, and Dominique Thompson; parents, Anthony Stallings and Lueann Jackson Robinson; father and mother-in-law, Paul and Shirley Roberts; brother-in-law, Lionel Roberts; stepsister, Lakeisha Hooks; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends; a special cousin/sister, Karen Bernoudy; and special friends, Corrinthia Thomas and Felisa Collins.

The celebration of life service will be held 11AM, Saturday, September 10th, 2016 at the First Timothy Baptist Church 12103 Biscayne Blvd. The visitation will be 5-7PM, Friday, at the mortuary.
