Obituary for Frances Elaine "Peaches" Edgecomb

Mrs. Frances Elaine Edgecomb affectionately known as “Peaches” was born on December 27, 1950 in Jacksonville, Florida to the late Robert (Sonny) Wanton and Elouise Williams-Gillins. Francis attended Matthew Gilbert High School; she later gave birth to her only child, a daughter, Traci Donaldson.

Frances and her family moved to Miami, Florida years later, where she met and married Steven Edgecomb, they later in life moved back to her hometown here in Jacksonville. Frances served as an usher and a participant of the Mothers Board where she attended Emmanuel COGIC under the leadership of Pastor Gabriel Hall. She loved her church family and friends. Francis was a certified Nursing Assistant and after retirement, she became a School Crossing Guard.

Frances Edgecomb departed this side of life on Monday, October 15, 2018.

Frances leaves to cherish her loving memories: husband, Steven Edgecomb; daughters, Traci Donaldson and Antique Edgecomb; siblings, Selita Base (Sam), Sharon Mitchell (Jessie), Denise Cooper, Donald Walker (Gwen), Rhonda, Lynn and Robert Jr.; brothers and sister-in-laws, Kevin, Teddy, Aita, Virginia, Theresa, Gwen; Pastor, Steven Edgecomb, Jr., Tavares, Jermaine along with a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and friends.

Mrs. Frances Elaine Edgecomb loved butterflies. Butterflies typically have bright colored wings. They are very distinguished as they hold their wings erect when at rest showing stability.
