Obituary for Franchester S Reaves

Franchester Suzettte Reaves affectionately known as “Fran” was born on February 18, 1954 to Winford Reaves and Vivian Reaves. Fran received her formal education through the New York City Public School Systems. She pursued a career as a Respiratory Technician. In the late 1970’s Fran relocated to Jacksonville, Florida where she married Morris Basiden. She furthered her education and obtained degree's in Nursing and Hospitality Management. Fran's career spanned over thirty years in the medical field, she did traveling nursing, pharmacy technician and home healthcare; and she was even a Real Estate Agent.

Some years later, Fran divorced and made her way to Amelia Island, American Beach. How she love American Beach with all its historical history, and in her spare time she volunteered at the American Beach Museum. Fran was a collector of sea shells and made pictures out of them. She was at her best living by the beach. Everyone she met will remember her wonderful smile and bubbly personality, her spirit and personality was contagious, she was liked and loved by many.

Fran transitioned home on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at 7:22 am, she took that final climb to the stairway of heaven. Upon her arrival she was met by her father; two older sisters; a younger brother; and some cousin's. She was embraced with comfort and love.

Fran has a host of friend's and extended family members she left to mourn her departure, a mother, Vivian Reaves of North Carolina; two sisters, JuLane James (Jessie) of New York and Pamela Reaves of North Carolina; three nieces, Danielle, Jeannine and Whitney; two nephews, Jamal and Jahi; one grandnephew, Miles; one grandniece, Neelah; spiritual sisters, Cynthia, Faye, Gwen, Debra and Gail; and a host of other relatives and friends.
