Obituary for Francina Bryant Coney (Bryant)
Francina Bryant Coney transitioned to be with the Lord on Friday, September 23rd, 2022. She was born on May 10th, 1937 in Jacksonville, Florida to Ellis Bryant and Marie Jones Bryant. She accepted Christ at a young age and faithfully attend and served at the Holy Church of the Living God under the leadership of the late Bishop Moses Baker.
Francina was a dedicated healthcare professional working in the operating room at Baptist Hospital and then she worked for the City of Jacksonville Health Department for 26 years in the Well Baby Clinic assisting young women with neonatal care. She happily used her experience and expertise to young mothers of the church which she considered her calling.
She was united in Holy Matrimony to Peter James Coney on September 28th, 1980, until his death on February 18th, 2010.
Francina was also preceded in death by her mother, father, and grandmother, Minnie Bell Jones. She leaves to cherish her memory her sons, Roderick Bryant and Darryl (Pamela) Bryant; sisters, Dee Bryant and Elvira Rosier; granddaughters, Datryl Morris, Nayiesha and Rhonda Walters; along with dear friends Lillie James, Mary Hill, and Marva Alexander; and a host of close friends and family members.
The funeral service for Francina Bryant Coney will be held 11:00 am Friday, October 7th, 2022 at the Holy Church of the Living God lnc.1598 West 14th Street Jacksonville, FL 32209. The visitation will be 5-7 pm, Thursday, October 6th, 2022 at the Funerals by T.S. Warden 4315 North Main Street Jacksonville, FL 32206. Interment in Edgewood Cemetery.
