Franshawn Neshell Thayer was born on March 31, 1975 to Prelton McCloud and Aletha Butler in Jacksonville, Florida. She confessed Christ at an early age at New Trinity Baptist Church, where she was baptized by the late Reverend Jonathan Reid. She later joined Philippian Community Church and was a current member of One Church of Jacksonville, under Archbishop Leonard and Dr. Carolyn Love. Franshawn attended public schools in Jacksonville and received her high school diploma from Paxon High School. She chose cosmetology as her profession and was passionate about her craft. She worked at New Creations Salon, owned by Sheila Moore.

Franshawn later met and married Raymond L. Thayer II, they were married in Folkston, Georgia. From this union 4 sons and 5 daughters were born.

Franshawn departed this life on November 7, 2019. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Clifford Baron and Dorothy McCloud; maternal grandparents, Jerry Butler and Naomi Harrison; maternal great-grandmother, Idella Mitchell; uncles, Calvin Butler and Ivory and brother, Anthony R. Prince, Sr.

Franshawn leaves to cherish her memories: husband, Raymond Thayer II; 4 sons, Brandon, Rashod, Sean, and Isaiah; 5 daughters, Breanna, Niyah, Reina, Sahvana, and Aysia; mother, Aletha Butler; father, Prelton McCloud; 2 sisters, Cathy Henderson (Frank) and Nickcombus Ervin (Frank); aunts, Roghelia, Odessa, Octavius, Eleanor, Yvonne, Stella, Della McCloud, Paulette Williams, Oretha (Patty); uncles, Jerry Butler, Ruben El-Amin (Suzette), William McCloud (LaChele), Clifford McCloud; sister in-laws, Chequetta Lord, Kelly Lucas, Mary Thayer, and Ramona Wilson; god sister, LaTasha Lambert; cousins, Baron, Keturah, Gloria, Naajia, Danyon; 3 closest friends, Amanda, Tamara, Keisha, and a host of other relatives and friends.
