Frederick Arthur Goings was born in Stamford, Connecticut on July 13th, 1946 to Russell and Rose Goings, Sr. He confessed Christ at an early age and attended Faith Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Baldwin Wallace University. He raised two daughters: Tanya Lynn and Michele Renee Goings with Paula Wilson Goings. During his professional career, Fred worked in marketing at IBM and was an Allstate Insurance owner. After retiring, Fred focused on helping elementary and middle school students achieve success in their studies. He taught at several schools and enjoyed teaching math the most. After meeting Hattie, they married in Orange Park, Florida on June 10th, 2021. They loved to study God’s word and fellowship with their church family. They attended First Baptist Church of Jacksonville and Elevate Life Church Oakleaf. Fred also loved to travel, relax at the beach, and play golf.

Frederick departed this life on Thursday, June 9th, 2022 and was preceded in death by his mother and father, Rose and Russell Sr, and his brothers, Donald, Robert, and John Goings. He leaves to mourn his passing: his wife Hattie; daughters, Tanya and Michele; stepdaughters, Jasmin and Alexis; grandchildren, Corey, Desmond, Briana, Amani, Jasmine, and Desiree; great grandchildren: Ayden, Ava, and Aria; siblings, Russell Goings Jr. and Geraldine Kelsey; and a host of other relatives and friends.
