Geraldine Thomas was born on February 18, 1952 in Birmingham, Alabama to the late Willie Mann Edwards and Matilda Edwards. She confessed Christ an early age and after her schooling she worked for a Nursing Home. Geraldine later met and married Oscar Thomas and to this union two sons, Terry and Oscar; and two daughters, Ruby and Barbara were born.

Geraldine departed this life on Monday, February 13, 2017. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Willie Mann Edwards and Robert Edwards.

Geraldine leaves loving memories to cherish: her husband, Oscar Lee Edwards; children, Ruby Mae Thomas (Edward), Barbara Ann Thomas, Terry Thomas-Jacobs (Vonda) and Oscar Lee Thomas Jr; grandchildren, Chaisty Thomas, Latasha Johnson, Shamika Thomas, Onterrio Thomas, Tamika Eady, Saudia Pressley, Edward Eady Jr., Terry Thomas-Jacobs Jr., and Tia Thomas-Jacobs; great-grandchildren, Mya Powell, Samya Thomas, Za’hian Thomas, Za’kiya Mattison, Zion watts, and Kaleb Thomas; sisters, Francis Williams (BeBe), Tilda Edwards, Willie Marie Edwards, Sylvia J. C. McCalphine, Sherry Edwards, Daisy Lucious Carlisie, and Shirley Young (Hezekiah); brother, Andy Edwards; and a host of other relatives and friends.

The funeral service for Geraldine Thomas will be held 11:00 am Saturday, February 25th, 2017 at the New Revelations Ministries 7904 Smyrna Street.
