Sweetfield Baptist Church: Due to Covid, the service for Mr. Gerard A. Cull will be limited to family, and those that are programmed. We do ask that all others that wish to support us during this time of bereavement to please join us for viewing at the T S Warden Mortuary, 4315 N. Main Street on Friday, April 2, 2021 from 5 -7 pm and/or at his final resting place at 1208 Ballard Ridge Road following the home going celebration. Gerard Alejandro Cull was born on July 31, 1969 in Jacksonville, Florida to Grady Cull Jr. and the late Juliette Cull. Gerard accepted Christ at an early age uniting with Sweetfield Baptist Church. He received his education in the local schools of Duval County, graduating from Jean Ribault High School, Class of 1987. He joined JSO in 1990 and enjoyed working as a Correction Officer in varies positions. Gerard was known for his wisdom, sense of humor, infectious smile, laugh and guidance for his family and friends. You couldn’t come into his presence and not leave smiling. His smile had that effect on others. He was approachable and never met a stranger.
Gerard met and married the Love of his life, Tina Cull, and were married for 21 years. From this union was born a beautiful baby girl, Germari (Mari) Cull. Retiring after 25 years of service from JSO Gerard fulfilled his lifelong dream of becoming a Truck Driver, and became the proud owner/operator of Bully’s Trucking.
Gerard’s memories will be forever cherished by his loving and devoted wife: Tina Cull; father, Grady Cull Jr; two daughters, Brittany Cull and Germari Cull; goddaughter, Jaily Patton; two sons, Jeremy Chappelle and Gerard C. Cull (Lil Gerard); godsons, Jonathan Simmons and David Simmons, sisters, Gwen Andrews (Glenn), Bonita Jackson, GerDonna Cull, GerTonya Cull-Calvy (Dominique), Gratera Genwright; brothers, Grady Cull III, Arthur Curtis, Chris Salter; uncles, Lester Richardson, Curtis Richardson (Beatrice), Michael Holsey (Vanessa), LaVert White, Robert (Uncle Bubba) L. Allen III, Terence (Uncle T) Felder (Victoria); great aunt, Emma Brooks Kemp; aunts, Jeanette White Smith, Leatha H. White, Gale White Beavers, Fay Allen, Robin White; a loving mother-in-law, Tina Baker (William), sister-in-law, Amber King (Brandon); brother-in-law, Lael Baker; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives; and many devoted friends among them the Newport Neighbors, The Good Time Gang, JSO Brothers and Family, Dale Williams, Luis Brookins, Mike Butler, Roger Carter, Darrell Richard and Special Cousins, Jake Hagins, Ben Baker, Wilson Holsey and Wayne Frazier.
The funeral service for Gerard Alejandro Cull will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 3rd, 2021 at the Sweetfield Baptist Church, 1365 Harrison Street, Jacksonville, FL 32206. The visitation will be 5:00 - 7:00 p.m., Friday, April 2nd, 2021 at the Funerals by T.S. Warden, 4315 North Main Street, Jacksonville, FL 32206. Interment in The Family Cemetery.
