Mr. Gus Sumter, Sr., departed this life Sunday, September 29, 2013 at his home. He leaves to cherish his memories, Juanita Sumter, a loving and devoted wife; three daughters, Dorothy (Aaron) Rollins of Archer, FL, Sarah (Charlie) Tolbert and Shelia Sumter of Jacksonville, FL.; four sons, Gus Jr. (Rosalyn) Frederick, Maurice and Bryan Sumter, all of Jacksonville, FL.; three sisters, Sarah Parson and Louise Morant of South Carolina and Modlee (Johnny) Kelty from St. Petersburg, FL.; two brothers, Joe (Janie) Sumter of South Carolina and Robert L. (Queen) Sumter of Jacksonville, FL.; and a host of other loving relative and friends. The funeral service will be held 11AM, Saturday at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah' s Witness .
