Obituary for Gwendolyn Yvette Mote

ABOUT ME!!!
Written by Ms. Gwendolyn Y. Mote

I graduated from FBHS in 1987. I moved to Ft. Lauderdale and worked for the state of Florida for 2 years. I came back  home to the "Dina" cause Paula Morris stopped my baby, Christopher, from walking to Kentucky Fried Chicken by himself. My Mama was sleep, but my baby was hungry.

I worked for the Port of Fernandina Beach, Amelia Island Plantation, Bell South and a few other places. When y'all thought I wasn't nothing, I worked under the table when y'all was sleep!!

When my Mama lost the love of OUR lives, her health went down quickly. I moved back in 2001 to care for her.

Gwendolyn Yvette Mote was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. Francis and Mrs. Ella Mote.  Born on September 13, 1969 she described herself as a Vicious Virgo.  She had a very unique sense of humor and zero tolerance for any drama other that her own.  Right or wrong, she always had to have the last word!! If she liked you, you knew it.  If she didn't like you, there was no doubt in your mind about that either. She was a different kind of child than her siblings and fully enjoyed her life.

She gave her life to the Lord prior to her passing, so those of you who are left behind wondering about it, don't have to worry whether or not she did.  As she would often say, you may be stuck on stupid, but she certainly is not. Her advice to you is to get your house in order because you know not the day, not the hour when God will call you home.  Just be ready when He comes.

Gwendolyn leaves to enjoy her loving memories the sons she loved dearly, Christopher (Kayla) and Casstian Mote.  Her pride and joy are her grandchildren, Christan, Kenyon, Kaylin, Kyleigh, and Jacob.  The man she believes to be the BEST man in the world her brother, Calvin (Linda); sisters, Dorothy Mote-Thomas and Janice Mote. She has two nephews, Kevin (Larysha) and baby Kevvin; nieces, Alanna and Iyanna. She was blessed with the best God-Mothers who loved and nurtured her, Mrs. Rose Ann Williams and Mrs. Dorothy Richo. There are too many God sisters and God brothers, friends, classmates and relatives to list.  You are all special to her in your own way.  Her Love for you lives on forever.

PRECIOUS MEMORIES HOW THEY LINGER!!!
