Herbert Leroy Morton was born August 10, 1930 in Jacksonville, Florida to the late Albert and Rosa Morton. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church here in Jacksonville.
Herbert departed this life on Tuesday, December 22, 2020. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, George, William, James and Joseph; two sisters, Bernice and Kenneth Mae.
Herbert leaves to cherish his memories: a devoted sister, Muzetta Lee Butler (Jimmy); sister-in-law, Fannie Morton; a host of nieces, nephews and special friends at Summer Brook Healthcare Center.
The funeral service for Herbert Leroy Morton will be held 11:00 am Wednesday, December 30th, 2020 at the Samuel C. Rogers Jr. Memorial Chapel, 4315 North Main Street, Jacksonville, Florida 32209. The visitation will be 4:00 - 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 29th, 2020 at the Funerals by T.S. Warden, 4315 North Main Street, Jacksonville, FL 32206. Interment in Evergreen Cemetery.
