Obituary for Hettie Campbell

Mrs. Hettie Louise Campbell was born in Fernandina Beach, Florida on April 9, 1925 to the union of Mr. Joshua Dove Sr. and Mrs. Emma King Dove, she was the 4th child of 13 children. She attended First Missionary Baptist Church where she received Christ at an early age. She also studied Jehovah Witness.

Mrs. Campbell attended Peck High School and she later moved to New York City to work in a toy clothing factory. She returned to Fernandina Beach to work at Atlantic Seafood. After her work experience at the Atlantic Seafood, she worked for the local doctors of Fernandina.

Mrs. Campbell was married the late Jessie Campbell of Fernandina Beach, Florida. From this union one child was born, The Late Michael Lewis Jenkins.

Mrs. Campbell departed this life on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 and was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. Joshua Dove Sr. Mrs. Emma King Dove; son, Michael Lewis Jenkins; brothers, Horace Dove, Joshua Dove; and sister, Lucy Mae Matthews.

She leaves to mourn in her passing sisters, Emma Virginia Grant and Grace Annette Coles; nieces: Roselyn Robinson (Johnny Robinson), Emma Noble, Mary Jane Jenkins, Dorothy Hooper (Elvin Hooper), Evangelist Susie Brown (Reginald Brown), Zina Grant, Cheryl Matthews, Ophelia Harris, Dorothy Davis (Eddie Davis), Ingrid Dove, and Beverly Ross (Leo Ross); nephews: Donald Noble, James Lewis, Bernard Small (Sherry Small), Minister Marcellous Dove (Daisy Dove), Minister Reginald Coles, and Kenneth Dove; and a host of great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and many devoted and loving friends that were near and dear to her heart.
