Howard "Mud Dog"  McGee
Howard McGee (Mud Dog) a legacy historic eastside resident and community activist, was born on December 24, 1950 to Hodges McGee of Miccosukee, Florida and Ellen (Sistrunck) McGee of Tuskegee, Alabama in Jacksonville, Florida.

Howard departed this life on Friday, April 13, 2018 at UF Health Shands following a 14-year battle with renal disease. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Catherine McGee, Minnie Lee Chandler, Gloria Jean McGee and Debra McGee; brothers, George Chandler and Hodges McGee.

Howard is survived by his daughter, Niki McGee-Brunson; son, Donald (Nard) Wilcox, Sr.; grandchildren, Nicholas, Donald, Jr. (Bud), Aiden and Amari; great-granddaughter, Kylie; aunt, Gladys Sistrunck of Louisville, Kentucky; brothers, Herman McGee, Sr. (Brenda), Alford McGee (retired NASA Scientist) and Tommy Chandler (Gracie); nieces, Kimyatta, Temekee, Tyesha, Marquisia and Minnie; nephews, Sammy, Thornton, Jerome, Herman, Jr.(Pee-Wee), Tommy Jr. and Todd; Mathew Gilbert High School, Class of 1967, 1968, 1969 and 1970 teammates, alumni and Historic Eastside Community Members.
