Obituary for Hurod Coleman Jr.
Hurod Coleman, Jr. of Richmond, Virginia, known to me as my brother. Known to your family as “Dolou” and “Speedy”, was born to the late Hurod Coleman, Sr. and Malinda Nicholson on December 31, 1980.
Hurod attended Henrico County Schools where he held many titles. He was well loved and respected by friends and family. He loved to fish, have fun, and watch his beloved Denver Broncos. Hurod was a very loyal son, dad, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. He enjoyed life, loved to laugh, and make others smile. He was loved by us all.
Hurod transitioned on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida. He was preceded in death by our dad, Hurod Coleman, Sr; and brother, Tavares Leeper.
Hurod leaves to cherish his memory: his beautiful children, Hurod Arkie Coleman “Kee” of Jacksonville, Florida, Qualeya of Richmond, Virginia, and Elijah of Richmond, Virginia; his beloved mom, Malinda Nicholson (Rocky) of Jacksonville, Florida; loving and devoted sister, Vernita “Peaches” Coleman (Joseph) of Richmond, Virginia; his devoted brother, Reginald Rebels (Red) of Richmond, Virginia; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Among them, devoted friends: Eric of Jacksonville, Florida, Mary Williams Brooks (Jonnie) of Jacksonville, Florida, and Florence Greene (Flo) of Richmond, Virginia.
The visitation for Hurod Coleman Jr. will be held Thursday, December 31st 2020 from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m., at the Funerals by T.S. Warden, 4315 North Main Street, Jacksonville, FL 32206.
