Obituary for Isaiah Walker "Mickey" Williams

Isaiah Walker Williams born as Isiah Cheeseburough III to Lizzie Mae Shealy and Isiah Cheeseburough on January 26, 1957, in Jacksonville, Florida. Isaiah adopted and raised by his godparents, Lenneon and Amy Williams was reared in a home, where it was mandatory to attend Sunday School and Church services regularly. Growing up Mickey was well respected as the oldest child, he was the big brother to his siblings, and he had to babysit and take care of them. He did it well!

Isaiah affectionately known as “Cheeseburough” to his classmates and neighborhood friends, “Mickey” to everyone else attended trade school and received his Carpentry Certification in 1980. He was well known for his many skills and talents, he helped everyone that needed assistance.

Mickey moved to New York City, where he had a daughter, Tiffany and son, Marquise Williams. He continued his Carpentry skills working for VOM Carpentry, formally known as CW Carpentry. Returning to Jacksonville, Florida in October 1990, Mickey worked several jobs continuing in his carpentry craft. He was a very dedicated, loving, funny, and smart man. He had a love for reading and would read any and everything; his favorite NFL team was the Jaguars, and he enjoyed fishing, talking trash and playing cards. He will be tremendously missed by his family and friends.

Mickey departed this life Saturday, October 29, 2022, with his family at his side. He was preceded in death by his adopted parents, Lenneon and Amy Williams; grandmother, Inez Shealy; aunts, Edna Patterson, Debra Williams, Linda Brinson; uncle, Donnie Marshall.

Mickey leaves to cherish fond memories: a loving and devoted daughter, Tiffany Williams-Bolden; son-in-law, David Bolden both of West Palm Beach, Florida; son, Marquise Williams; grandchildren, David Baptiste and Donovan Bolden; mother, Lizzie Mae Peters (John Peters Sr.); siblings, Sharon Shealy, Rhonda Williams Bryant, Phyllis Bradley (Victor Bradley), Bridgette Holsey (Wilson Holsey Sr.), Sean Peters and John Peters Jr. (Tyhesha Holmes); bonus mom, Vivian Williams; nieces and nephews, Dewayne Shealy, Terrell Shealy, Akeen Shealy, Latoya Kight (Devin), Zadkiel Williams, Chantell Williams, Lakeshia Bradley, Brittney Peters, Wilson Holsey III, Kewanna Harden, Charity Fredricks, Sean Peters Jr., Denise Monroe, and Jahsir Holmes Peters; cousins that grew up alongside of him, Willie C. Smith, Edward Smith (Carolyn) both of St. Petersburg, Florida, the Honorable Judge Leatrice Walton Williams and Sandra Davis of Jacksonville, Florida; a host of cousins, other family members and friends.
