Obituary for Jacob Rashard Wright
Jacob Rashard Wright was born on June 17, 2009 to the parents of Chauncey Latson and Dekerick Wright. Jacob transitioned this earthly life on Wednesday, February 1, 2023 into the arms of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Jacob was baptized at an early age at Wolfson Children Hospital in 2009. He attended Restview Elementary. His favorite subjects were music, science, and arts. He was an awesome, smart 5th Grader.
Jacob planned, as his dream job, to become an attorney. He was known for always giving compliments to his family and others. Jacob often expressed concerns, asking his mother periodically, "Are you okay?" He did not allow his disability to hinder his ability to set goals for the things that were important to him.
Jacob was a loving, honest kid. He loved his sisters and brothers.
Jacob was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Yvette Potter, and great-grandfather, Edgar Potter.
He leaves to mourn his passing his loving and devoted mother, Chauncey Latson; father, Dekerick Wright; sisters, Chelsey Latson and Diamond Latson; brothers, Isiah Wright and Keon Wright; 2 nieces, Gabby Latson and Alayiah McKinsey, grandmother, Yvonne Johnson; and uncle Courtney Potter.
