Obituary for James Louis "Jimmy" Cash II

James Louis "Jimmy" Cash II
James was born on December 1, 1944, in Jacksonville, Florida to the proud parents of the late Mr. James Louis Cash, Sr. & Mrs. Essie B. Stowers. He was the husband of the late Mrs. Antoniette Cash. James attended the local schools in Duval County, after which he became employed by the International Longshoremen Association, where he worked until his retirement.

James devoted his life to his family, especially his children, grandchildren and his four legged friends, Hersey, Chibenki and Kelly (Dogs). Even though he may not have possessed houses nor land and he may not have possessed silver or gold, he had an immense love for everyone he met and possessed a servant’s heart, James made sure that everyone knew that Jesus was the center of his life.

James was preceded in death by his son, James Louis Cash III; siblings, Gerald Reed, Sr., Nathan Cash, Joseph Stowers and Learnita Stowers.

James leaves to cherish his memories: daughters, Vickie Cash, Barbara Hayes Robair (Ben), Tamara Cash and Naphateria Cash Evans (Rickey); sons, Timothy Cash (Quanda), Richard Cash (Audray) and Nathan Cash; a loving and devoted brother, Lester Stowers, Jr. (Shirley); sisters, Vernita Stowers, Mildred Jenkins, Gwendolyn Washington (Atlanta), Rev. Jean Davis and Joan Horace (Tampa); a loving aunt, Evangelist Shirley Armstrong (Edward); forty-one grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other sorrowing relatives and friends.

And I go to prepare a place for you; and if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. God gave His approval and summoned James into eternal rest on July 21, 2018.
