Obituary for James Clarence Jenkins

James (J.C.) Clarence Jenkins was born in Astoria, Georgia on November 19, 1930 to his parents, Willie and Alice Jenkins.  He confessed to Christ at an early age uniting with Central Christian Methodist Church where he was baptized. He attended schools in Homerville, Georgia and he received his education at Old Stanton High School.

He later met and married Clander M. Cooper in Homerville, Georgia on September 11, 1948. From this union one son was born, W. Kenneth Jenkins and five daughters, Sherri L. Myles, Carolyn E. Jenkins, Kim L. Moreland, Clander D. Johnson, and Sonya L. Jenkins.

James departed this life on Monday, May 23, 2022 and was preceded in death by: daughter, Sonya L. Jenkins; grandson, Jerrod D. Jenkins; two sisters and two brothers. 

He leaves to mourn his passing: wife, Clander C. Jenkins; son, W. Kenneth Jenkins; daughters, Sherri (Dan) Myles, Carolyn Jenkins, Kim (Anthony) Moreland, and Clander (Carl) Johnson; fifteen grandchildren; thirty-one and a half great grandchildren; and one great great granddaughter; one brother, Lester Williams; and a host of other relatives and friends.
