Obituary for Jeannette Hartley Robinson

Jeannette Hartley Robinson, was born to Marion and Helen Hartley on August 12, 1936 in Jacksonville, Florida. She was a graduate of Matthew Gilbert High School. Jeannette received her Bachelor’s degree from Florida A&M University, and her Graduate degree from Columbia University. Jeannette was an active member and former President of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.

Jeannette worked for Duval County Public Schools. For over 35 years where she served a as teacher, school board member, and Principal. She was an active member with Bethel Baptist Institutional Church and was a loving mentor to many.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Marion and Helen Hartley; husband: Fred Robinson Jr.; sister: Elizabeth Johnson; and nephew: Jimmie Scipio.

She is survived by her sister: Adrienne Hartley Moore; nieces: Paula Jackson (widow), Phyllis Wiley (Leon); nephews: Jessie Scipio (Zandra), Thomas Carlton Moore (Vannessa); brother-in-law: Oscar Johnson; stepchildren: Charletta Sowell, Bruce Robinson; grand-nieces: Tiffany Smith (Cedric), Caitlin Wiley; grand-nephews: Michael Steward, Rhett Steward (Shannon), Leon Collin Wiley; and a host of loving family and friends.
