Obituary for Jessie Mae Jackson

Jessie Mae fell asleep in death on Friday, December 21, 2018. She was the daughter of the late Moses and Luella Roberts, Jessie Mae grew up in Quincy, Florida where she met and married Pascus Jackson to which their union produced nine children, four sons and five daughters. Jessie Mae became a dedicated baptized servant of Jehovah God in the 1950s.

Jessie Mae was preceded in death by her loving husband, Pascus; daughter, Annette; twins, Jerome and Jeanette; son, Larry; brother, William Roberts; and sister, Josephine Steptoe.

Jessie Mae leaves to cherish her memory, her devoted children: Marvin Jackson (Mable) Jacksonville, FL, Irene Coleman (Julius) Cocoa, FL, Theresa Morgan (Major) Cocoa, FL, Barbara Hunter (Ed) Sanford, FL, Donald Jackson (Kathy) Jacksonville, FL; brothers, John Roberts (Dee) Lackey, VA, James Roberts (Diane) Washington, DC; sisters, Annie Vine, Washington, DC, and Christine Metzs, Quincy, FL.

Jessie Mae also will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She will truly be missed especially by her dear friend and long-time partner in the Christian ministry, Katie Clayton.

Jessie Mae loved all her family and stayed in control, she loved to fish, shop, sew, and wear high heels. As one of Jehovah’s witnesses, she enjoyed helping others learn the truth from God’s word and the hope of everlasting life in a righteous new world where God has promised “no one will say I am sick.”- Isaiah 33:24.
