Obituary for Josephine Perry (Richardson)

Josephine Perry was a Loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Friend. God chose a purpose and a path for the beloved Josephine Perry, she had a loving heart that touched and inspired the lives of many.

Josephine was born April 14th, 1929 in Lake City, Florida to Mose and Delia Richardson, she was the youngest of 9 children. Josephine attended Richardson High School and was a dedicated member of Unity Missionary Baptist Church, where she sang in the Choir.

Josephine departed this life February 22, 2022. She was preceded in death by her mother, Delia Richardson; father, Mose Richardson; husband, Albert Perry Jr.; eight siblings; children, Gwendolyn Jackson, Michael Bush, Jacqueline Brown; grandchildren, Takeia Bush, Freddie Young Jr., and Tekesia Johnson.

Josephine leaves to cherish her sweet memories with her son, Freddie  Young Sr. (Betty) dedicated and devoted daughter, Carolyn Lakes (Tommy); grandchildren, Frederick Young (Michelle), LaTonya Austin (Liddell), Tonya Seymour (Flemmon), Roderick Bush (Gena), Dawn Kolly (LaMin), Leon Brown Jr. (Clarene), Derrick Brown Sr.(Alicia), Tarchia Bush, Michael Keiser, Michael Williams (Tarina), Eric Williams, Alicia Crawford, Yvette, Shawn and Paulette Hoover; forty-two great-grandchildren, thirty-one great great-grandchildren; friend, Kelvin Brooks; and a host of other family members and friends.

The funeral service for Josephine Perry will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 5th, 2022 at the Unity Missionary Baptist Church, 281 East 44th Street, Jacksonville, Florida 32208. The visitation will be 5:00 - 7:00 p.m., Friday, March 4th, 2022 at the Funerals by T.S. Warden, 4315 North Main Street, Jacksonville, FL 32206. Interment in Edgewood Cemetery.
