Joyce Jeanette Shuman was born on August 31, 1948 to Morris and Willie Mae Shuman in Jacksonville, Florida. She attended the local schools in Duval County graduating with the first class of William M. Raines High School.

Joyce departed this life on Thursday, December 29, 2016. She was preceded in death by her mother, Willie Mae Shuman; daughter, Stacy Davis.

Joyce leaves to cherish memories her children, Larry Davis and Natasha Davis; nineteen grandchildren; father, Morris Shuman; siblings, Pamela (Bernice), Leon (Robbin), Carolyn, Rosalyn (Rickey), Darryl, and Rhonda (Harold); nieces and nephews, Kimberly, Bernice Jr., Derrick, Leonard Jr., Terry (Donna), Serina,  Winifred (Joseph), Edwina, Cierra, Cedric, Willie Jr., Taneisha, Ayana, and Anaya; and a host of great nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

The chapel service for Joyce Jeanette Shuman will be held 11:00 am Wednesday, January 4th, 2017 at the Samuel C. Rogers Jr. Memorial Chapel 4315 N.
