Ms. Katherine Bernice McDaniels was born to the late Gus and Inez Silas. She was born on September 15, 1935 in Jacksonville Beach, Florida. She received her education by Duval County Public Schools. Katherine later was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Willie McDaniels.

Katherine career includes, Duval County Public Schools, she also was employed by New York Laundry and as well as various jobs around the City of Jacksonville. Katherine was predeceased by her only sister, Delores Hills; uncles, Harvey and Dolphis Silas; niece, Sandra Hills; and great nephews, Reginald and Earl Berring.

Katherine took a rest from all pain and cares of this life on Tuesday, July 21, 2020. She leaves to cherish her precious memories: nieces, Lillian, Judy, Ivey, Robin, Lavetra, Debbie, Beverly, and Katherine; nephews, Clifford, Melvin, Jimmy and Clarence; special cousins, Martha, Maxine, Pauline, Dorothy (Leon), Tiny, Richard, Sharonda, Essie; sister-in-law, Ernestine Allen; and a host of great nephews, nieces, other loving relatives, and friends.

The funeral service for Katherine McDaniels will be held 11:00 am Friday, July 31st, 2020 at the Restlawn Cemeteries 2600 Ribault Scenic Drive Jacksonville, FL 32208. The visitation will be 5:00 - 7:00 pm, Thursday, July 30th, 2020 at the Funerals by T.S. Warden 4315 North Main Street Jacksonville, FL 32206. Interment in Restlawn Cemeteries.
