Kendal Matthew Hobbs was born on March 1, 1991 to Kenneth Hobbs and Cheryl Hobbs in Jacksonville, Florida. He confessed Christ at the age of 13. Kendal attended the local schools of Duval County; and graduated from First Coast Senior High School, where he also played football. He loved sports and his favorite teams were the Miami Hurricanes and the L.A. Lakers; and his favorite player was Kobe Bryant.

Kendal departed this life on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 and was preceded in death by his mother, Cheryl McNair Hobbs; grandmother, Carolyn Hobbs; and grandfather, Matthew McNair.

Kendal leaves to cherish his memory: his father, Kenneth Hobbs Jr. (Katrice Hobbs); sisters, Kayla Hobbs, Chayla Hobbs, and Monesha Blackman; brother, Kobe Hobbs; his daughter, Kai’lani Maniah Hobbs (her mother, Tinesha Spencer); grandparents, Kenneth Hobbs, Sr. (Gloria Hobbs) and Jewell Christopher (Roy Christopher); and a host of other relatives and friends.

The funeral service for Kendal Matthew Hobbs will be held 10AM, Saturday, January 30th, 2016 at the Open Arms Christian Fellowship 2763 Dunn Avenue Jacksonville, FL 32218.
