Obituary for Kenneth Anderson Sr.
Kenneth “Kenny boo” Anderson, Sr., beloved son of Minnie Anderson and the late Ricky Anderson, was born on December 1, 1956 in Jacksonville, Florida.
He attended Robert E. Lee High School before serving in the United States Marine Corps. He earned an honorable discharge in December 1974. After serving in the Marines Corps, he worked for 24 years as a stock clerk for the Duval County Public School System.
Kenneth departed this life on January 12, 2020.
He leaves to cherish fond memories with a loving family; a devoted wife, Melissa Anderson; mother, Minnie Anderson; one daughter, Satin (Donall) Anderson; three sons, Dorian Mixion, Brian (Shawronda) Jordan, and Kenneth Anderson, Jr.; three step-daughters, Jazzmine Sinclair, Anayan Sinclair, and Shyesia Sinclair; mother-in-law, Leslie Sinclair; three sisters, Ricci (Sebastian) Lang, Lisa (Bernard) Byrd of Jacksonville, FL; Veronica (Chappelle) Johnson of Miami, FL; one brother, Satana (Melissa) Jones of Bowman, South Carolina; one aunt, Bridget Price of Miami, FL; one uncle, Retired SFC Johnnie Bennett; special cousin, Gennetta Bennett; 19 grandchildren; 14 nieces and nephews; and a host of cousins and friends.
The funeral service for Kenneth Anderson Sr. will be held 11:00 am Saturday, January 25th, 2020 at the Franklin Street Baptist Church 2521 Franklin Street Jacksonville, FL 32206. The visitation will be 5 - 7pm, Friday, January 24th, 2020 at the Funerals by T.S. Warden - Samuel C. Rogers, Jr. Memorial Chapel 4315 N. Main St Jacksonville, FL 32206. Interment in Bowman Cemetery.
