Obituary for Kenneth Eugene Williams
Kenneth Eugene Williams, 77, of Bronx, New York, departed this life on May 27, 2020.
Kenneth was born in Fernandina Beach, FL on March 13, 1943 to Samuel and Johnnie Mae (Jones) Williams. He was the second oldest of eleven children and affectionately known as “Ken” or “Kenny”. Kenneth was a 1960 graduate of Peck High School. Upon graduation, he enlisted in the United States Navy where he served honorably. After leaving the military, he settled in New York City and spent many years with New York Life Insurance Company prior to becoming a self-employed insurance agent.
Kenneth was beloved by his family and friends for his great sense of humor and zest for life. Family gatherings were often highlighted by his stories and legendary dance moves. He loved the ocean and spending time at the beach. Kenneth’s Joyful personality and generous nature will be greatly missed.
In addition to his parents, Kenneth was predeceased by his sisters, Dorothy Moore and Patricia Williams Moultrie; brothers; James Wesley Williams and Samuel Dwain Williams; and brothers-in-law Charles Gilbert and Herman Moultrie.
Kenneth leaves to cherish his memories, his loving wife, Martha; stepdaughters, Lisa Rudolph of Savannah, GA, Sandra Taylor (James) of Long Island, NY, and Terri A. Lawrence of Bronx, NY; five sisters; Juliette Cassandra Williams, Lavinia Elaine Williams, Paula Michelle Gardner (Narvea), Lisa Hamilton (Sam) all of Fernandina Beach, FL and Cynthia Olivia Gilbert of Jacksonville, FL; two brothers; John Henry Williams (Vickie) of Antelope, CA and Stephone Williams of Boston, MA; aunt, Celestine Stewart of Fernandina Beach, FL; uncle, James Leroy Jones (Thelma) of Pompano Beach, FL;
and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, including longtime friend, Dwight Harris of New York, NY.
The funeral service for Kenneth Eugene Williams will be held at 12:00 pm Saturday, June 13th, 2020 at the Funerals by T.S. Warden Fernandina Beach 410 Beech Street Fernandina Beach, FL 32034. The visitation will be 4:00 - 7:00 pm, Friday, June 12th, 2020 at the Funerals by T.S. Warden Fernandina Beach 410 Beech Street Fernandina Beach, FL 32034.
