Obituary for KING MARVIN CANNON Jr.

On October 17, 1964 God sent one of his angels, King Marvin Cannon, Jr. to bless us in a special way. King affectionately called “Junior” was born with Cerebral Palsy, so he was never able to walk. That physical disability empowered his verbal ability and he was not slack in using what God gave him. King didn't meet any strangers he always made his presence known. For those who had a chance to meet him, they left with a memorable experience.

King was born in Jacksonville, Florida to Jeannette Terry McCardy(Willie) and King Marvin Cannon, Sr. (Deborah). He graduated from Palm Avenue Exceptional Center and attended The ARC Jacksonville, where he enjoyed the people and became a Painter using the Artistic Realization Technologies (A.R.T) technique. King was Painter of the Month, with an exhibit located at the Jacksonville Airport.

God saw fit for King to return back to him on Tuesday, July 11, 2017. He was preceded in death by his brother, Joseph Cannon; brother-in-law, JD Baker

Junior will be forever cherished in the memories of his parents, sisters, Theresa Baker, Dorthea Gresham (Jeffery), Brenda Taylor (Clarence) and Zaundra Presley; brothers, Adrian Cannon (Kashia), Rodney Cannon and Jason Cannon; sister-in-law, Jacquelyn Cannon; a host of loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

KING MARVIN CANNON passed away Tuesday, July 11th, 2017 . Arrangements in Care of: Funerals by T.S. Warden, 904-765-1234
