Mr. Korey Bernard Rivers was born in Jacksonville, Florida, on August 10, 1985 surrounded by his loving family. Korey was a charming young man and enjoyed life. He never met a stranger and brought smiles to every person he encountered. He had a way of making everyone feel special like they were number one.

Korey attended local schools and graduated from Jean Ribault High School, Class of 2004. He attended Florida Community College at Jacksonville. Korey loved his family and those who knew Korey knew he loved his dogs.

Korey departed this life on Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at the age of 34. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Henry Williams.

Korey leaves to cherish his memories his loving and devoted mother, Cathy Rivers; sons, Juanye Rivers, Deyoundre Williams, and Samuel Grant; a devoted grandmother, Mrs. Fannie Williams; Korey took Kamiya’ as his daughter; uncles, Carlton (Pam) Rivers and Lamar (Traci) Williams; aunt, Kim (Michael) Howard; specials cousins, Michael Howard, Brian Howard, and Latonya Webb; best friends, Brandi IJames, Reggie Chamber, Jr., Michael Freeland, and Glen Davis; friend, Monique Petterson; and a host of sorrowing uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

The funeral service for Korey Bernard Rivers will be held 11:00 am Saturday, March 14th, 2020 at the Mt. Ararat Missionary Baptist Church 2503 N Myrtle Avenue Jacksonville, Florida 32209. The visitation will be 5:00 - 7:00 pm, Friday, March 13th, 2020 at the Funerals by T.S. Warden 4315 North Main Street Jacksonville, FL 32206. Interment in Evergreen Cemetery.
