Leonard Green was born on May 5, 1951 in Jacksonville, Florida. The family moved to New York in 1963 where Leonard was primarily educated in the Queens New York School System. After high school, he gained employment with the Bulova Watch Company of NY. Some time later, Leonard returned to his hometown of Jacksonville and subsequently met and married Clara. Together they were blessed with a godson.

Leonard enjoyed repairing cars, fishing and reminiscing about time gone by. He touched many lives by opening his door to those who needed his help and guidance. He loved everyone. Leonard answered the call of God on Saturday, October 21, 2017.

Leonard leaves to cherish his memories: a loving mother, Edith Green; godson, Timothy Rose (Ann); granddaughter, Tianna; brothers, William (Linda), Darryl (Peggy) and Oscar Jr. (Natelie); sisters, Beveryl (Kenneth), Latwaan and Anita Branch (Ronald); and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
