Mr. Leroy Davis was born on March 4, 1935 in Pavo, Georgia to the late Lewis and Ida Davis. He attended school in Pavo, Georgia until he relocated to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.

Leroy was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis and Ida Davis; brothers, Romeo Davis, Willie Davis, and Jimmy Davis; and two sisters, Leah Davis and Shirley Mae Davis.

Leroy gave his life to Christ in 1988 under the leadership of Bro. Billy Washington at Golden Heights Church of Christ in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. He served faithfully there until he relocated to Valdosta, Georgia and placed his membership at the Woodlawn Forest Church of Christ, under the leadership of Bro. Leroy Butler. He then relocated to Jacksonville, FL where he placed his membership at the Northside Church of Christ, under the leadership of Bro. Charlie McClendon. He served faithfully until God called him home on April 2, 2018.

Leroy worked for CSR Rinker for twenty-five years until his retirement. He later met and married Ruth Braziel and to this union one son was born.

Leroy leaves to mourn: his wife, Ruth Davis; sons, Gerald Davis (GA), Gregory Davis (Palm Beach), Timothy Davis (Atlanta, GA), and Leroy Tyrone Davis (Jacksonville, FL); daughters, Karen Davis, Mary Davis, and Angela Davis, all of Palm Beach; sister, Doretha Tyler (NJ); brother, Eugene Davis (Ft. Lauderdale, FL); and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.

The funeral service for Leroy Davis will be held 11:00 am Monday, April 9th, 2018 at the Northside Church of Christ 4736 Avenue B. JACKSONVILLE, FL 32209.
