Obituary for Leslie Davette Hamilton
Leslie departed this life peacefully and gained her wings on Sunday, December 25th 2022. Leslie was a friend to many and never met a person whom she called a stranger.
Leslie was born in Jacksonville Florida on November 23rd, 1972 to Henry Hamilton Jr. and Lizzie Mae White. She attended Lackawanna Elementary, John Gorrie Jr. High, and graduated from Robert E. Lee High School, where she was awarded Most High School Spirit.
Leslie started her career with Winn-Dixie and later held roles with Cargill, Inc., Samsonite, United Stationers, and most recently, Sally Beauty Supply Distribution Center.
Leslie was a member of King Solomon United Baptist under the leadership of Dr. Ronald V. Walters, Senior Pastor.
Her humorous spirit will be missed by all. She was preceded in death by her father, Henry Hamilton Jr. and her grandmother, Dora Kenny. She is survived by her son, Emmanuel Hamilton Turner; mother, Lizzie Mae White (James); siblings, Connie McCall, Henry Hamilton III (Angelique), and Rhonda Hoskins (Mark); and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, relatives. and friends.
