Obituary for Linda Joyce Bryant (Collins)

Linda Joyce Collins Bryant was born on July 26, 1950 to the late Charles Collins Sr. and Evelyn Turner Collins in Jacksonville, Florida. She attended Stanton Vocational and Edward Waters College. She was a former member of Shiloh Metropolitan Church and attended First Titus Missionary Church at the time of her passing.

She was united in Marriage to Louis Bryant Jr. on November 19, 1977.

She was employed at USF&G insurance agency and Bank of America, formerly known as Barnett Bank. She was a faithful member of Esther Chapter #105 Order of The Eastern Stars where she served as treasurer and received her lifetime membership.

She was a member of several local bowling teams. She also enjoyed shopping, cooking, and most importantly, spending time with her family.

Linda was called home to be with the Lord on Friday, May 28th, 2021. She is preceded in death by her late brother, Mr. Charles H. Collins Jr. She leaves behind to continue in her legacy her loving and devoted son Mr. Dwayne L. Johnson (Christina); sisters Deloris Robinson, and Jannette Collins; her loving grandchildren, Tierra T. Johnson and Dwayne L. Johnson; nieces and nephews, Michael Chapple, Delaria Robinson (Johnnie), Trelisy Robinson, Devin Stephens (Raletta), Ashley Green; great-grandnieces Melaya Nesmith, Journee Stephens; and her bonus sons, Lawrence R. Robinson, Anthony Johnson, and Gregory McGriff. Linda also leaves behind her devoted friends Albert and Sue Smith, Patrica Harrell, Shirley Colson, her “Suga Suga” Emari Smith and her great-grand puppy Leila Johnson.

The funeral service for Linda Joyce Bryant will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 11th, 2021 at the Samuel C. Rogers Jr. Memorial Chapel, 4315 North Main Street, Jacksonville, Florida 32209. The visitation will be 5:00 - 7:00 p.m., Thursday, June 10th, 2021 at the Funerals by T.S. Warden, 4315 North Main Street, Jacksonville, FL 32206. Interment in Edgewood Cemetery.
