Lloyd George Thomas was born on June 9, 1943 to the late George and Alice Thomas of Jacksonville, Florida. He attended the local schools and graduated from Northwestern High School. Lloyd served in the United States Army and retired as Sergeant 1st Class, as a Vietnam Veteran. He was employed by Budweiser and Beaver Street Fisheries.

Lloyd departed this life Saturday, April 24, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Mona, Jacqueline and Bernard.

Lloyd will be remembered and cherished in the heart of his beloved and devoted wife, Minnie Thomas; children, DeShanta (Derrick), Torres (Marina), Bushell (Deborah), Sofia Renee (Mark), and Vedero Thomas; sisters, LaVerne, Beverly and Dale; brother, Eric (Mammie) Thomas; stepdaughters, Gloria, Trell and Harnitha Brown-Nixon; a host of other relatives and friends.
