Obituary for Loretta Brown Perry

Loretta was born on December 4, 1947 to Richard and Ethel Green, who proceeded her in death. She was married to Emmette D. Perry, who also preceded her in death. She went home to be with the Lord January 9, 2021. She was a faithful member of Greater Macedonia Baptist Church of the Northside. Senior Pastor Dr. Landon L. Loretta attended the Public Schools of Duval County, graduating from New Stanton Senior High School, Class of 1965. She also attended FCCJ and Edward Waters College. Loretta was employed by Bellsouth Telephone Company as an Assistant Manager Customer Services, retiring after “33” years of dedicated services.

Loretta leaves to cherish loving memories with her children, Nicole Brown and Donald Brown; grandsons, Donald III, Donyae’, Connor, and Ricardo; granddaughter, Taelor; other relatives include, Eston Wilson, Northa Ballinger, Carla Hinton, Alice Kimbrough, WayShawn Kay, Alex Brown, Faith Jennings, and The Jones Family; her devoted godchildren, Debbie Gregory, Patrice Lowe Means, Jocelyn Scott, Krystal and Kiera Wright, and Tyese Cintron; bonus daughters, Andrea Evans and Lisa Williams; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Loretta was surrounded by a circle of friends in her lifetime and during her illness. She leaves behind her special friends: Lorine Butler, Dale Simmons, Helen Bailey, Mattie Jackson, Shirley Dunson, Irene Hilton, Sylvia Bowman, Waynetta McGraw, Carla Whiteside, Joann Townsend, Meltonia Fulton, Diane Gardner, The Larkins Family, James and Fredricka Bradley, Lilton Moore, Robert Cole, Jerome Forest, Dr. John Lewis, and Charles Holmes.

The funeral service for Loretta Brown Perry will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 15th, 2021 at the Samuel C. Rogers Jr. Memorial Chapel, 4315 North Main Street, Jacksonville, Florida 32209. The visitation will be 5:00 - 7:00 p.m., Thursday, January 14th, 2021 at the Funerals by T.S. Warden, 4315 North Main Street, Jacksonville, FL 32206. Interment in Jacksonville National Cemetery.
