Louise Curtis was born in Metter, Georgia on February 7, 1935 to the late Maceo and Cora Byrd. She received Christ at an early age and later became a member of International Bibleway Apostlic Christian.
Louise was known to many and loved by all. She was employed as a cafeteria cook at Dupont Elementary, where she later retired after over 30 years of service.
Louise was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur L. Curtis, Sr.; sister, Neta Mae Hollaway; and brother, James Byrd.
Louise leaves to mourn her passing: her only child, Arthur L. Curtis, Jr. (Teresa); grandchildren, Cristine Baker and Terrence A. Curtis “Her Lil Dudock”; brother, Willie Byrd (Hazel); sister-in-love, Mary Byrd (James); special niece, Patricia “Ann” Brunson (Frank); special great-grand niece, Victoria Picket “Her Miss Piggy”; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
