Obituary for Lynn Bridges
Lynn Syvette Bridges was born on March 16, 1963 to Mrs. Edith Powell in Jacksonville, Florida. She attended the Duval County Public Schools, graduating from Robert E. Lee High School. Lynn joined the United States Army and received an Honorable Discharge. She also attended college and received a degree in Business Management.
Lynn received Christ at an early age and was a member of Little Rock Baptist Church. She later joined Hope Chapel, under the leadership of Pastor Jeanette C. Holmes.
Lynn departed this life on Wednesday, September 6, 2017. She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Johnnie Lee Powell and godfather, Willie Taylor Mack.
Lynn leaves to cherish her memories a loving and devoted mother, Edith Powell; loving and devoted godmother, Geneva Mack; brothers, Min. Reginald Bridges and Russell Cunningham (Lesley); sisters, Linda Williams (Rev. Walter), Debra Holmes (Roy), Carol Williams, Karen Edgerton (DeShawn), Brenda Simpkins (her faithful and devoted caretaker), Melzar Hudnell (Bernard), Jeanette Mitchell and Eleanor Delifus; god brother, Louis Charles Whaley Jr. (Blondiva); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and sorrowing friends.
