Obituary for Marcus Lance Eddy

Marcus Lance Eddy was born on March 11, 1965 to Betty Holzendorf Eddy and Clifford Eddy (Deceased) in Jacksonville, Florida.

Marcus attended Jean Ribault High School, Class of 1983. He was self-employed for over 30 years, owning his own Barber Shop on Jacksonville’s north side in the Sherwood Plaza. Marcus had a love for fishing and a love and compassion for the people in his community, helping anyone in need, and always cooking out for everyone. Marcus loved cutting hair, riding motorcycles, fancy cars, fishing, cooking, sports, his African/Native Pride, and most of all, his family.

Marcus was called home on Wednesday, May 27, 2020. He was preceded in death by his father, Clifford Eddy; brother, Albert Richards (A.C.); grandmother, Bernice Holzendorf; and a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, and cousins.

Marcus leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Betty Holzendorf Eddy; five children, Markesha Eddy, Paris Eddy, Seontrese Eddy, Marcus Eddy, and Taliyah Campbell; four grandchildren, Jesse Ward, Perry Boyd, Rhythm Miller, and Chianne Bell; sister, Debbie Cooper; brother-in- law, Charles Cooper; sister-in-law, Valerie Richards; oldest nephew, Charles A. Cooper; oldest niece, Nita Cooper-Kirce; best friend, Daina Gregory; and a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.

The graveside service for Marcus Lance Eddy will be held at 12:00 pm Wednesday, June 3rd, 2020 at the Restlawn Cemeteries 2600 Ribault Scenic Drive Jacksonville, FL 32208. The visitation will be 5:00 - 7:00 pm, Tuesday, June 2nd, 2020 at the Funerals by T.S. Warden 4315 North Main Street Jacksonville, FL 32206. Interment in Restlawn Cemeteries.
