Obituary for Marilyn Denise Dudley-Williams

Marilyn Denise Dudley Williams was born in Brunswick, Georgia on September 4, 1959 as the 10th child to the late Willie B. “Peter” and Mildred Dudley. Denise attended the public schools in Glynn County, graduating from Brunswick High School, Class of 1977.

Denise later relocated to Jacksonville, Florida after meeting the love of her life, Donald Williams, Sr. On December 13, 1985, Denise and Donald joined in holy matrimony and to this union two sons were born.

Denise was employed with First Coast Service Options as a Services Provider Enrollment Analyst until her health failed. She was a faithful member of St. Paul AME Church of Jacksonville, Florida, where she served in the Light of the Word Media Ministry, President of Usher Board #2, Assistant Adult Sunday School Teacher, and Class Leader. Denise loved fishing with her husband and loved having a good time with her family.

Denise departed this life on Sunday, May 27, 2018. She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers; one sister; and one nephew.

Denise leaves to cherish her memories: her devoted husband, Donald “Blue Boy” Williams, Sr.; sons, Donald “Bam” Williams, Jr. and Antwan Demarae Williams; brother, James (Geneva) Jones of Paterson, NJ; sisters, Ramona (Rick) Moore of Seattle, WA, Cheryl Dudley and Cecelia (Rodney) Lemon both of Brunswick, GA; mother-in-law, Florence Jones; sisters-in-law, Grace (Burl) Jelks, Robbie (Bernard) Stewart, Cynthia (Jimmie) Country and Janice Brown; brothers-in-law, Horace Taylor, Rickie Williams, and Bruce Jones; aunt, Ollie Mae Hillery of Brunswick, GA and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends.
