Obituary for Marvyn Byrdis Mizell Sr.

Marvin Byrdis Mizell, Sr. 75 was called home to God on July 29, 2020 after battling a lengthy illness. Marvyn was born February 15, 1945 to Ernest and Mable Mizell, he was a lifetime resident of Jacksonville, Florida where he graduated from Stanton High School and attended Edward Waters College. He then enlisted in the United States Army where he practiced dentistry and served in the Vietnam War from there, he contributed almost 30 years to the United States Postal Service before retiring. Marvyn was baptized and became a faithful member of Westside Church of Christ. He is preceded in death by his loving parents Ernest and Mable Mizell. He leaves to mourn, his son Marvyn Byrdis Mizell, Jr (Tiffany), sister Doris Collier, nieces Staretta and Lydia Collier, cousin Betty Jean Williams, and longtime devoted friend Sherri Broughton, along with a host of loving family and friends.
