Obituary for Melvin Albert Fleming Sr.

Melvin Albert Fleming Sr. was born to Mary Fleming Brooks and John Snelling on March 14, 1968, and raised by his maternal grandmother, Alberta Fleming all of whom preceded him in death.

Melvin had an entrepreneur spirit. He was a jack of all trades owning businesses in catering, commercial construction, home improvement and auto mechanics. There wasn’t much Melvin couldn’t do, and if he didn’t know how, he was quick to find out. Known as a playful trash talker, Melvin enjoyed playing cards with friends and cooking big meals. He was a people person and never met a stranger. Family time was also very important to Melvin. He took his role as big brother to heart and prided himself on being the anchor of his family. He was the one anyone could call on when in need. His charity was endless. Melvin had a giving heart- and for that his businesses were successfully blessed. The role he took most importantly was as a husband and father. Melvin made countless sacrifices to ensure they were well cared for and took numerous family vacations to make lasting memories.

Left to cherish his memory includes his wife Brenee', children: Adriann, Merissa, Makayla, Melvin Jr., Malik, Marcella and Madison; grandchildren: Brishea, Bernard, Anesiah, Derrion and Aston; great- grandchildren: Danielle Evans; sisters: Gennice, Talita (Dorian) and Marion; brothers: Leroy, Dan and James; great aunts: Monica and Ann; great uncle, Teddy; aunts: Hazel, Dianna, Denae and Demerrisse; uncle, Jessie; mothers-in-law, Brenda and Annie; nieces: Talecia and Jalecia; nephews: Paul Jr. (Hilary) and Marlon Jr. as well as a host of cousins and friends.
