Obituary for Melvin Jermer Jackson

Melvin Jermer Jackson was born in Memphis, Tennessee on April 24, 1989, to his parents, Melvin Jackson and Lisa Jackson-Maddox. He confessed Christ at an early age, where he was baptized at First Baptist Church of Mandarin. Melvin attended grade school in Jacksonville, Florida at Mandarin and Greenland Pines Elementary School, Mandarin Middle School, and Mandarin High School, where he was known to be rambunctious, honest to a fault, and loveable.

Melvin later met his children’s mothers here in Jacksonville, and from these unions were born three sons, Cameron, Isaiah, and Jamari Jackson. This loving father, son, and brother did not depart this life but rather was reborn on March 17, 2022. He has earned his heavenly halo and wings, but leaves to celebrate his earthly and heavenly life, his father, Melvin D. Jackson; mother, Lisa Maddox (spouse, Demetrius Maddox); sister, Melissa Norris (spouse, Deon Norris); brother, Earl Jackson; children, Isaiah, Cameron, and Jamari Jackson; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

He never knew a stranger and interacted with any and everyone. He was funny, respectful, intelligent, wise, laidback, charismatic, and handsome, but above all these attributes, he had a contagious smile and a giant heart. While we all will miss him dearly, do not mourn his passing but celebrate his transcendence into heaven.
