Melvin Bernard Wise was born in Jacksonville, Florida on March 12, 1963 to his parents, Paulette Wise (Jones) and Charles Wise. He confessed Christ at an early age, uniting with the House of God.

Melvin attended school in Jacksonville, Florida and received his education at Paxon Senior High School. He later met the mother of child, Lashonda McBride (Harper). From this union their child, Alexis Wise, was born.

Melvin departed this life on Thursday, November 5, 2020, and was preceded in death by his brother, Calvin Wise. He leaves to mourn his passing: daughter, Alexis Wise; granddaughter, Kamora Mcdougal; sister, Alexandria Wise; nephews, Christopher Wise and Reggie Jones; great nieces, Alaysia, Ka’Niya Wise; and a host of other relatives and friends.

The funeral service for Melvin Bernard Wise will be held 1:30 pm Friday, November 13th, 2020 at the Samuel C. Rogers Jr. Memorial Chapel 4315 N. Main Street JACKSONVILLE, FL 32206. The visitation will be 5:00 - 7:00 pm, Thursday, November 12th, 2020 at the Funerals by T.S. Warden 4315 North Main Street Jacksonville, FL 32206. Interment in Restlawn Cemeteries South.
