Mr. Michael Anthony “Mooda Cooda” Miller was born January 2, 1960, to the late Lonnie Miller and Annie Ruth Miller-Walker. He attended the local schools of Duval Cunty and graduated from Paxon Senior High School. He worked for J.B. Coxwell until he took ill.
Michael was a loving, dedicated, and outstanding father and grandfather. He was a passionate Jacksonville Jaguar and Florida Gator fan. He loved fishing, socializing with family and friends, and most of all spending time with his beautiful loving daughters and grandchildren. Michael was always smiling and the life of any party.
Michael departed this life on Friday, February 19, 2021 at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida. He was preceded in death by his father, Lonnie Miller; mother, Annie Ruth Miller-Walker; sister, Elisa Miller; stepfather, Leon Walker, Jr.; step-brother, Aundra Walker; and loving friend, Latisha Macon.
Michael leaves to cherish his memories, his five beautiful loving daughters, Tantalaine Green, Ericka Green, Shacoby Green, Rashika Hayes, and Starnet Hayes; 17 grandchildren, Ronreco Hooper, Clarece Lee, Clashaila Lee, ShaKayla Singleton, ShaKiyla Singleton, Ronrecia Hooper, Clarence Lee, Jr., Shaniyah Singleton, Princess Lanier, Claren Lee, Persia Scruggins, Tyrus Kornegay, Shariyah Singleton, Zoey Brown, Khloe Mangram, Kehlani Hayes, Legend Tisby, and Deondrick Pina, Jr.; one great-granddaughter, Paris Johnson; three brothers, Larry Miller, Frederick Miller, and Marvin Miller (Veronica); two sisters, Liz Hubbard (Benjamin) and Samantha Miller; four step-brothers, Leon Walker III (Gladys), Gary Walker (Carolyn), Dwain Walker, and Vance Walker; two step-sisters, Renee’ Watson (Cornelius) and Phyllis Chisholm (Terry); two loving step-daughters, Tonisha Mitchell and Rickia Jones; one stepson, Dominique Macon; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and other loving family and friends.
The funeral service for Michael Anthony Miller "Mooda Cooda" will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 6th, 2021 at the Paxon Revival Center Church, 5461 Commonwealth Avenue, Jacksonville, FL 32254. The visitation will be 5:00 - 7:00 p.m., Friday, March 5th, 2021 at the Funerals by T.S. Warden, 4315 North Main Street, Jacksonville, FL 32206. Interment in Restlawn Cemeteries South.
